The lunchtime crowd along the 900 block of West Franklin Street on Virginia Commonwealth University's Monroe Park campus couldn't help but stop and take notice of a boisterous group of marchers.
Led by accordion players and drummers, the group waved American flags, carried signs and called for women to be given the right to vote.
Some wore early 20th century costumes.

As The Crimson reported today, "conservative feminist" Christina Hoff Sommers gave a talk on the failures of modern feminism last night.
I found the discussion extremely disappointing, in part because it became abundantly clear early on that Sommers has a very limited understanding of feminist history and theory.

Men have been urged to discard their egos and report any form of abuse by their female counterparts so gender-based violence programmes can include them.
